Email settings

The mail relay used for report distribution and ingestion alerts.

Connection

Server host name The relay your server is permitted to send through.

Port 25 for a plain relay, 587 with STARTTLS.

Use STARTTLS Leave off for an internal relay that does not require it.

Authentication

Most corporate relays authenticate by whitelisting the sending server and need no credentials at all. Leave these empty unless your relay requires them.

User name

New password No password stored. It will be encrypted at rest and never displayed again.

Administrator alert recipients Semicolon-separated. Receives quarantine and ingestion failure alerts.

Test environment safety catch

Redirect all mail to When set, every message goes here instead of its real recipients, and the body carries a banner naming who it would have gone to. Set this in any environment holding a copy of production distribution lists.

While this is off, reports are generated and downloadable but nothing is emailed — and the system reports that plainly rather than implying delivery.

Send a test message

Sends one message so a wrong host or a rejected from-address is found here, rather than by a report that never arrives.
